Participate in developing ISO ESG implementation principles

We’re thrilled to invite you contribute to Canada’s leadership in shaping environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration on a global scale. The international community is developing ISO ESG implementation principles. The guidelines are meant to complement existing standards and disclosure frameworks. They will give organizations of all types a harmonized approach to managing and measuring ESG performance

Be part of developing the International Workshop Agreement (IWA) for implementing environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles through a series of ISO international workshops.

With your registration, you will be provided access to a draft ESG principles document, which is your key opportunity to provide input. You have until June 17, 2024. Comments received will then be discussed in the virtual workshops.

The workshops are open to anyone with ESG expertise and all interested parties with relevant experience, including industry experts, government agencies, academic institutions, NGOs, and end users like small businesses and medium enterprises.

Why you should get involved

  • accelerate ESG integration into global business culture
  • ensure consistency, comparability and reliability in ESG practices worldwide
  • directly impact sustainable business practices on a global scale
  • strengthen compliance and conformance aspects of ESG
