Business Continuity Management Systems accreditation scheme now available to help companies expect the unexpected

The Standards Council of Canada is now the first Canadian accreditation body offering the Business Continuity Management Systems scheme as part of its accreditation services. This scheme is based on ISO 22301 – Security and resilience – Business continuity management systems – Requirements.

In today's unpredictable world, a company's strength is proven by its ability to not only adjust to sudden changes but also recognize areas of vulnerability and quickly respond to unforeseen events.

When business disruptions happen, the key to rapid recovery lies in a deep understanding of an organization's priorities, as well as easy-to-follow response plans that are clearly communicated to staff. By implementing ISO 22301, companies can achieve all of these objectives and provide assurance to clients, suppliers, regulators and stakeholders that they are fully equipped to face unexpected challenges and are future-proofed for whatever comes their way.

With the rising uncertainty caused by events like natural disasters, cyber attacks and pandemics, organizations require a vital framework to prepare for, respond to and quickly recover from such scenarios. We take pride in introducing this new business continuity management systems accreditation scheme, which will assist organizations in being well-prepared to tackle a wide array of potential disruptions."
