Interim Certification Requirements for Escalator Braking Systems

1.1 This Technical Information Letter (TIL) covers Escalator Driving-Machine Brake as requested by Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44-19 clauses 6.1.5.3.1 and 6.1.5.3.3. 1.2 This TIL also covers the new introduced requirements in ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44-19 clause 6.1.5.3.4 and 6.1.5.3.3 for Escalator Driving-Machine motor-controlled dynamic barking systems.
