Scope:

1.1 La  présente   norme   s'applique  à  des   panneaux   plats  en plastique  rigide destines à être utilisés comme  vitrage  de sécurité  dans le bâtiment.  Les panneaux  doivent être conçus pour  éviter  ou réduire  les risques  de blessures provoquées par  les  fragments de plastique lorsque les panneaux sont fendus ou brises par des personnes qui s'y heurtent accidentellement ou par des objets  provenant de l'extérieur.
