Background
In March 2018, IAF Accreditation Body members collected data from their accredited certification bodies that hold accreditations to ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 for the second time. The data collected was summed to give an aggregate transition rate across the world for these two key standards to 28 February 2018. This is being compared to the first data collection period as at 31 December 2017.
Submissions were received from the vast majority of IAF ABs and gave transition rates from a total of over 1.1 million ISO 9001 and almost 380,000 ISO 14001 accredited certificates.
- For ISO 9001, the rate was 47.24%, up from 36.94% at 31 December 2017
SCC’s current rate is 40%, up from 32% on December 31st, 2017
- For ISO 14001, the rate rose to 51.55% from 39.73% at 31 December 2017
- SCC’s current rate is 44%, up from 33% on December 31st, 2017.
Please note that these figures are not meant for publicity purposes and should not be shared beyond your organizations.
Data will be collected on two further occasions – 30 June 2018 and 30 September 2018. Your Account Manager will be contacting you at that time to collect your current transition rates.
