Action required

Effective immediately, all laboratories must now refer to SCC Requirements and Guidance for the Accreditation of Information Technology Security Evaluation and Testing Facilities including Cryptographic Module and Algorithm Testing Facilities and cease referring to CAN-P-1591C - Guidelines for the Accreditation of Information Technology Security Evaluation and Testing Facilities (ITSET) - April 2010 and CAN-P-1621 - Requirements for the Accreditation of Cryptographic Module and Algorithm Testing Facilities - November 2006. 

 

Affected customers

This change affects accredited and applicant laboratories operating in the ITSET Program Specialty Area, as well as SCC assessors performing assessments in this area.

 

Background

This change was made as part of SCC’s overall QMS modernization project.

 

New requirements

The content of the requirements has not changed. The two documents have been combined into one, and the formatting has been updated to be consistent with SCC’s approach for these documents. References have also been updated.

 

Deadline

This change is effective immediately. Customers are asked to update their documentation as soon as possible.
