All SCC-accredited Management Systems Accreditation Program (MSAP) certification bodies accredited to sustainable forest management sector schemes are required to take note of the new revision of the SCC Requirements and Guidance for the Management Systems Accreditation Program: Sustainable Forest Management Sector Schemes, issued on 2021-03-12.

Management Systems Accreditation Program certification bodies accredited to one or more of SCC’s sustainable forest management sector schemes.

 

Background

The purpose of the SCC Requirements and Guidance for the Management Systems Accreditation Program is to provide additional requirements and guidance for the certification of management of sustainable forestry sector schemes. 

 

New requirements

The updated R&G now includes a scope and definitions. References to external standards (SFI, ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 19011) have been updated. 

 

Deadline

As the revisions to the document are not significant, the document is effective immediately.
