ILAC- P10 ILAC Policy on Metrological Traceability of Measurement Results Transition
Action required
CABs are required to comply with the latest version of the ILAC P10 ILAC Policy on Metrological Traceability of Measurement Results. The revised ILAC P10:07/2020 ILAC Policy on Metrological Traceability of Measurement Results was published on July 1, 2020 and all accredited CABs are required to be in compliance by July 1, 2021.

Background
ILAC P10:07/2020 ILAC Policy on Metrological Traceability of Measurement Results has been updated to include revisions and the addition of new requirements.
New Requirements
- Terms and definitions: addition of definitions for CIPM, MRA, KCDB, CAB Accredited Organization, RMP;
- Preamble: replaced with updated version;
- Table of Contents: updated;
- Purpose: Statement of Purpose has been updated to ensure that the policy addresses measurements performed with other conformity assessment standards;
- Clause 2,3,4: replaced by Clause 2
- Clause 2: References to ISO/IEC 17025:2005: have been deleted and the policy has been made independent of the accreditation standard being used. Updated to reflect ISO/IEC 17025:2017, includes update re: extending the MRA of RMP to ISO 17034:2016
- References: Refences have been updated to reflect new versions and new references have been added: ISO 17034:2016, ILAC P8:03/2019, Joint BIPM, OIML, ILAC and ISO Declaration of Metrological Traceability (November 2018)
- Appendix A: Updated with references to ISO/IEC 17025:2017
- Appendix B: Revisions table has been added
Deadline
Accredited laboratories shall follow ILAC P10:07/2020 ILAC Policy on Metrological Traceability of Measurement Results effective July 1, 2021. Nonconformities will not be raised against it before July 1st, 2021.
