Mark Ramlochan
As head of Standards Planning at UL Standards & Engagement, Mark Ramlochan is responsible for the identification of new opportunities for impactful standards development and for overseeing market intelligence and technical trend monitoring. Joining ULSE in 2008, he has served in several progressive roles including Chair of the UL Innovation Lab, where his team led the creation of standards development solutions leveraging AI and process automation. He currently serves as Chair of the ULSE Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, where he has led the development of a comprehensive DEI strategy for the organization. With a passion for public safety, Mark served as President of the National Capital Region Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Society of Standards Professionals (SES), a not-for-profit professional membership society dedicated to furthering the knowledge and use of standards and standardization.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Carleton University and Executive education on Artificial Intelligence Business Strategy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is a licensed Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute (PMI), and Associate Standards Professional (AStd) by SES. He is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA), with a concentration in Business Analytics from Sprott School of Business.
