Jeff Dolan

Jeff Dolan is currently Executive Director, Technical Safety, Government of Nova Scotia, responsible for strategic promotion and regulation of safety standards for technical systems operating across the province.

In addition to his role on the SCC Council, Jeff is the Chair of SCC’s Provincial-Territorial Advisory Committee. He has also served as Nova Scotia’s representative on the SCC National Public Safety Advisory Committee.

Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in public and workplace safety. Prior to returning to Nova Scotia in 2016, he held Director positions with the British Columbia Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General and WorkSafeBC where he also chaired the Workers’ Compensation Board’s fraud risk management strategy. Jeff also served on the Board of Directors of BC Adaptive Snowsports.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University and holds a Canadian Risk Management professional designation. He has also completed the Strategic Management, Regulatory Agency program at the Harvard Kennedy School.
