Director, Strategy and Integration, Special Advisor to the CEO

As Director of Strategy and Integration and Special Advisor to the CEO, Brady provides expert advice to inform executive decision making, and develops and executes plans and initiatives that shape the strategic direction and enduring success of the organization and its activities and programs. In his role he provides an organization-wide focal point for strategic coordination, business integration, and partnership development. By applying a wide lens to challenges and opportunities, and leveraging SCC's capabilities, partnerships and relationships with interested parties, Brady leads the design and implementation of strategies, programs, products, and services to advance Canada's national standardization priorities, enhance impact, and address interested parties and market needs.

 

Brady is nationally recognized as a leader within the Canadian and international standardization system and has served in a variety of leadership roles since joining SCC in 2016, including heading the development, delivery and expansion of SCC’s innovation, infrastructure, climate change and sustainability programs. His strength is working within interested parties , policy, and research environments to identify opportunities, and bring diverse groups into effective partnerships to design, develop and deliver people focused and impact-oriented programs and initiatives.

 

Prior to joining SCC, Brady was a consultant and Manager of Business Development at TDV Global, a management consultancy focused on serving clients in scientific, technical, and highly regulated sectors. Brady has also served as the Director of Operations for the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA), where he was responsible for the development and delivery of international programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening biosecurity capacity, including in fragile and unstable environments. Over the past 16 years his efforts have delivered measurable progress for employers and clients in their efforts to deliver commercial and public policy outcomes, and reduce threats to the safety, security and prosperity of industry, institutions, and people.
