1. Scope
1.1 This standard applies to inner tubes for pneumatic tires used on
automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, agricultural, industrial and other
ground equipment.
This Series of standards applies to common types of plumbing
fixtures such as bathtubs, sinks, W.C.'s, etc., but does not
apply to appliances such as clothes washers or W.C.'s used in
recreational vehicles. The standards include dimensional
requirements, performance requirements and tests, and marking
requirements and apply to plumbing fixtures made of vitreous
china, enamelled…
1. Scope
1.1 This Standard provides the minimum criteria for the design, erection and use of single membrane, unreinforced or reinforced air-supported structures.
1.2 This Standard is intended only for single independent air- supported structures and those which are contiguous with other structures and are attached through a common element.
1.3 This Standard does not apply to…
Surface treatment and metallic coatings — General classification of terms
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (i. e. ISO 2079:1973). Defines a nuber of generic terms for which the definition is considered necessary in order clarify the scope of these processes. In addition to terms used in the three official ISO languages (English, French and Russian), this International Standard includes the equivalent terms in the German language.
Light metals and their alloys — Code of designation based on chemical symbols
The designations of metals and alloys shall be based on the chemical composition limits given in International Standards. International chemical symbols shall be used for the designation of the principal metal and the major alloying elements followed by numbers indicating the metal grade or the nominal alloy content.
Paints, varnishes, petroleum and related products — Flash/no flash test — Closed cup equilibrium met...
Specifies a method to determiine if a flammable material, when maintained at a selected equilibrium temperature and under the conditions of the test, gives off sufficient flammable vapour at this temperature to cause ignition on application of an external source of flame applied in a standard manner. The method is suitable for use over the temperature range 5 to 65 C.
Oil of peppermint, France, Italy, United Kingdom and USA
The Standard specifies the following characteristics of the oil: appearance, colour, odour, relative density at 20/20 °C, refractive index at 20 °C, optical rotation at 20 °C, miscibility with 70 % (V/V) ethanol at 20 °C, ester value after acetylation, carbonyl value. Most of the characteristics differ in dependence from the country of origin.
The Standard specifies the following characteristics of the oil. Appearance: Clear, mobile liquid. Colour: Almost colourless to pale yellow. Odour: Characteristic, spicy, sweet. Relative density at 20/20 C: 0,883 - 0,934 1) 0,857 - 0,880 2). Refractive index at 20 °C: 1,4740 - 1,4880 1) 1,4690 - 1,4800 2). Optical rotation at 20 °C: + 2 - + 30 1) + 20 - + 45 2). Miscibility with 90 % (V/V)…
Spices and condiments — Preparation of a ground sample for analysis
Basis for this method is the laboratory sample obtained by the method specified in ISO 948. The principle of determination consists in grinding the laboratory sample, which has been previously mixed, to obtain particles of the size specified in the International Standard appropriate to the spice or condiment concerned or, if not so specified, to obtain particles of size approximately 1 mm.
1. Scope
1.1 This Standard applies to quick-connect terminals having nominal widths of 2.79 mm, 3.18 mm, 4.75 mm, 5.21 mm and 6.35 mm for use in making electrical connections in the internal wiring and to components of electrical equipment in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
